Objective
When it comes to launching a startup business, a thoughtful and strategic approach to branding can make all the difference between success and failure. It’s not only critical to sales and marketing efforts, but it can also impact a startup’s ability to attract the vital funding it needs to grow. In a prior engagement with our client, Henry Health, SDA helped the digital health startup rebrand as “Hurdle” and secure $5 million in venture capital. Our ongoing contributions helped Hurdle achieve tremendous growth, which led to the company being acquired.
Based on their earlier success, the same leadership team came back to SDA for help launching their next venture: Libido Health. The company offers an app-based service that brings together the interrelated goals of physical fitness, nutrition, mental well-being and sexual health. Supported by biometrics technology and a team of licensed professionals, Libido Health helps members of all genders and body types break through social stigmas and discover their unique connection between mind, body and sexuality. SDA’s goal was to bring this new vision to life in a compelling and coherent brand identity.
Delivery
During a full-service 24-month engagement, SDA helped Libido Health design the app itself and develop an extensive range of materials to attract investors, market its product and bring an enhanced wellness experience to users. From the logo, colors and font choices to the specific imagery used on the website, each element was chosen to convey the client’s core message – that sexual health is a vital component of one’s overall well-being. SDA’s expertise extended to the Libido Health app, developing the graphic user interface and navigation icons to create a consistent look and feel across platforms. The same approach applied to Libido Health’s investor presentation deck, which SDA developed to help the company attract initial funding. Furthermore, SDA’s work is present in all materials and channels used for ongoing promotion, from the client’s website, products, and social media presence to its podcast, “the L Spot.” With experienced, credentialed leadership supported by a strong brand presence, Libido Health is off to a great start bringing clarity and common sense to an underserved healthcare need.
